Blacksburg’s newest restaurant had their soft opening last Sunday at the Blacksburg Cruise’in on August 9th. Since then, they have been generating a lot of buzz on social media and in daily conversation.
I personally had my first Fattboyz1 cheeseburger and fries just today. It was tasty and juicy, and fresh enough to have been sourced from somewhere close by. My husband had the Teriyaki chicken wings, and he could not stop raving about how big the chicken pieces were and “the real teriyaki sauce” on them.
Some other reviews I’ve heard around town involve to-die-for onion rings that Thomas Dover of WiseFire and area local Andrew Lanier hypothesize might just be the best of their kind in all of the SC Upstate.
2020 BHS senior, Josh Erwin praised the cook’s chicken tenders, and Blacksburg frequenter Haley Beth Arnold has announced that she would be comfortable taking even her most treasured guests and visitors to FATTBOYZ1 for lunch or dinner.
The restaurant is owned and operated by Andy Ellis and is located at the old Yesterday’s at 104 N. Rutherford Street. You can expect satisfying portions and reasonable prices when you visit their convenient location in town. Be sure to show up during their current hours of 11AM to 9PM or call in your orders during that time. The current Coronavirus situation has temporarily kept the seating area off-limits to indoor diners, but the take-out food is still delicious.
